Thrilling experience in Kaligandhaki river
One of the most famous of Himalayan rivers is the Kali Gandaki. She originates from Mustang, an enclave of Nepal poking into Tibet, on the other side of the Himalaya. At Kalopani the river drops off the roof of the world and cuts one of the deepest gorges in the world between Dhaulagiri, height of 8,167 m to the west and Annapurna, 8091 m to the east. Below Tatopani, the gradient eases and the river runs more gradual from Baglung. During the river's descent, numerous exhilarating rapids up to class 4 as well as long calm sections are encountered.
